National Moot Court Competition
Since 1950, the Association
of the Bar of the City of New York, in conjunction with the American College
of Trial Lawyers, has sponsored the National Moot Court Competition. Each
year, over 150 law schools compete in the regional rounds throughout the
United States and the winners advance to the final rounds which are held
at the House of the Association. This prestigious competition allows law
students to argue a case in front of prominent judges and lawyers. TTU Law
compete in Region X against Baylor, St. Mary’s, South Texas, Southern
Methodist,
Texas Wesleyan, Univ. of Houston and Univ. of Texas.

He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. He taught Appellate Advocacy at Texas Tech from 1974-2004, after which he has limited his involvement to coaching the national appellate advocacy teams. He was also coach of the national trial teams for 30 years.
